Today I want to share with you one of my favourite recipes to make some delishious strawberry jam! I just made this today with my mom and it’s so fast and easy. Only thing that you really need to have is a blender that is able to heat up, like ThermoMix or I know some others can do it aswell. So I hope you like it as much as we do! – 1000g of fresh strawberries
– 500g of jam sugar (or canning sugar)
– 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
– 1 vanilla bean (optional)
To begin with, wash your strawberries, cut off the greens and put them in your blender. Mix them for about 10 seconds so they’re nicely cut before adding the other ingredients. Put in the canning sugar and the lemon juice and blend again for a few seconds. For creating jam you’ll need to heat up the mixture to about 100° C and cook it for at least 5 minutes til it get’s this jelly texture.
Test the texture by putting one teaspoon of your cooked jam onto a plate, then turn the plate and if your jam doesn’t run down like water – it should be fine! Place your jam into clean jars and turn them upside down: this way the heat will create a vacuum and your jam is conserved.
